EnviroScape® Model
This Watershed or Non-point Source model demonstrates how different land uses affect water quality.
Many sources of pollution are assembled in the model. These include; residential areas, transportation, recreation, agriculture and construction as well as an industrial plant to represent a point source. Pollution and runoff are visible when it rains (spray bottle water). This is done by using different chemicals (cocoa powder, food coloring) to represent pollution such as soil erosion and chemicals that collect on our paved surfaces.
