RCRCA has, at this time, decided against conducting a 3^rd Annual RCRCA photo contest. If RCRCA decides to reinstitute the photo contest, information will be posted on this page and advertisements will be ran in local papers and radio stations. Thank you to those who participated in the either of the first two contests.
Calendars from the second photo contest are available for purchase from the RCRCA offices for $7 each or $9 to have them mailed to your residence or business.

Photos must, at the very least, have a water-related theme and preferably will contain either the Redwood or Cottonwood River or one of their tributaries. Photos MUST be of a subject in the Redwood or Cottonwood River Watersheds, no exceptions! Natural settings and images of nature are welcome as are photos with people or persons in these settings (as long as a river or river feature is present). We do ask that participants limit their submissions to no more than 3 pictures per person. Photos can be recent or taken years ago, but the person who took the picture must be the person entering the photo. For photos taken years ago, the photographer should enter the age they were at the time the picture was taken.

We will accept all photos submitted, but any photo showing a location outside of the Redwood or Cottonwood River Watershed will be disqualified from winning a prize. The most stunning image of nature will also most likely not win, unless there is a water-related theme and the inclusion of a river or river feature.

There are 3 categories for submission, based on the age of the photographer.
They are as follows:

Minors aged 17 and under
Adults between 18 and 50 years old
Adults 51 years and older

Photos may be submitted digitally and/or as a paper copy. A completed Contest Registration Form must be submitted with the photo. The quality of the image is the responsibility of the photographer. Generally the larger the file size for digital images the better, but please no larger than 8MB (8000 Kb). Images should be able to be viewed, and will be judged, at a 4" by 6" resolution.
RCRCA will print out any digital photos, not accompanied by a paper copy, using a publicly accessible photo printing service.
