What a difference a year makes!

These are photos from the same stretch of the Cottonwood River, the top image is from 2005 and the bottom image is from 2006.  The Red circled tree in both images is the same tree.  The Red circle on the banks in the image below indicate the high water mark reached a day or two prior to our trip in 2006.  The Blue line in the image above is my estimation of the high water mark in 2006 & where it would have been in the 2005 photo.  Notice the bank failure to the right of the bank circle below.  Also, notice the lack of vegetation along the banks to the right of the circled tree in 2006 (below).  This is a snapshot illustration of difference in water levels between 05' & 06'.
